Disadvantages of Facebook

Facebook have many disadvantages on teenagers than advantages. Why I say that? Because  as we known most of the teenagers don’t realize the negative impact of Fb on their life. And, the main reason is because they are already addicted to it. And, this addiction can lead to several negative developments.
The first disadvantage effect of fb is that a teenagers user starts loosing interest in his or her surroundings. They would be addicted to Fb  and the only thing they would be concerned about will be their “own” world, which is inside Fb.

The second disadvantage effect is that the real-world social interaction will start diminishing. There is no doubt that they are going to have hundreds of friends on  Fb , but with how many of them would teenagers be interacting out in the real world. As a human being, they are a social creature and  naturally require real-world social interaction. When they are going to spend maximum of their time on the Internet, teenagers are going to decrease their  communication and social skills.

Another negative impact will be on their health. There is a very high chance that excessive use of  Fb  leads to the users becoming obese. They would be sitting most of the time in front of the computer, eating snacks and without any physical activities. And, over a period of time teenagers are going to accumulate all the extra pounds.

So guys, do you think facebook give us bad impact?

History of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg wrote Facemash, the predecessor to Facebook, on October 28, 2003, while attending Harvard as a sophomore. According to The Harvard Crimson, the site was comparable to Hot or Not, and "used photos compiled from the online facebooks of nine houses, placing two next to each other at a time and asking users to choose the 'hotter' person".

Mark Zuckerberg co-created Facebook in his Harvard dorm room.To accomplish this, Zuckerberg hacked into the protected areas of Harvard's computer network and copied the houses private dormitory ID images. Harvard at that time did not have a student "facebook" (a directory with photos and basic information), though individual houses had been issuing their own paper facebooks since the mid-1980s. Facemash attracted 450 visitors and 22,000 photo-views in its first four hours online.

The site was quickly forwarded to several campus group list-servers, but was shut down a few days later by the Harvard administration. Zuckerberg was charged by the administration with breach of security, violating copyrights, and violating individual privacy, and faced expulsion. Ultimately, the charges were dropped. Zuckerberg expanded on this initial project that semester by creating a social study tool ahead of an art history final, by uploading 500 Augustan images to a website, with one image per page along with a comment section. He opened the site up to his classmates, and people started sharing their notes.

The following semester, Zuckerberg began writing code for a new website in January 2004. He was inspired, he said, by an editorial in The Harvard Crimson about the Facemash incident. On February 4, 2004, Zuckerberg launched "The facebook", originally located at the facebook.com.

The Advantages of Facebook...

Facebook is social software. Which is the reason why Facebook are appealing to adolescence and university students. These students all the time correspond or communicate explicitly concerning their lives, estimation or opinion, interests, and academics. Though the majority of us working with adults are awkward sharing ideas or information in open surroundings, the social feature of Facebook creates fun and its rapidity of learning knowledge.

Beside that, facebook provides us the chance to choose what you desire to share, and what you don’t need to impart, and what you desire to impart with chosen associates. The building of Facebook appears over time. Users can make groups and conversation or discussion topics. This assemblage or group can cultivate, or be gone alone to pass away, depending on the users and their involvement.

From the young people and university students’ perspectives not utilizing Facebook are “social responsibility or liability”. A few professionals not possess an online presence or attendance can be career liability. Facebook also a one-stop shop or supermarket for imparting blogging, media, calendaring, communicating, sharing ideas or information and others. Facebook can provide “Cooperative Extension” abilities or capabilities to work together and construct our networks in a single place by giving one place without difficulty, imparting ideas or information and discuss subject or topics of interest.

So, my friends out there..do you think fb is good for you?
